The Bombay High Court will today decide if it's jail or bail for Salman Khan. While senior lawyer Harish Salve was supposed to argue for the superstar, now senior counsel Amit Desai will appear for the actor's case in the High Court.

Salve will not be able to argue for Khan today, as he has to appear in SC for another case. Reportedly, Salman too will not be present for his bail hearing.

On Wednesday, a Sessions Court pronounced him guilty in the 2002 hit-and-run case and sentenced him to five years in jail. Khan's lawyer then moved the Bombay HC for his bail and he was granted 48 hours interim relief, as the judgment copy was not given in time to the court.

The HC can alter or reduce the charge after hearing the plea and if Khan's appeal is not acceded then the Sessions Court will release an arrest warrant against him.
