Days Before Release, 'Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana' Gets Embroiled In Controversy

Since the past few months, upcoming family entertainer Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana has been in the news for various reasons. During the ban on Pakistani artistes in the wake of the attack on an Indian Army base, the film made headlines for replacing Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

Lately, the film was in the news after the leading lady Akshara Haasan skipped the music launch of the film and there was a buzz that she is not in touch with the film team and now, another controversy has raised its ugly head. Today morning, around 70-80 VHP (Vishva Hindu Parishad) workers gathered outside the office of producer TP Aggarwal at MHADA, Andheri as they felt that his film hurts the sentiments of the Hindus. A VHP worker was quoted saying that the film insults Hindu rituals by showing a pregnant woman getting married and that this has hurt their sentiments.

On his part, producer TP Aggarwal said, "We have this strange thing in India that we get offended with everything that's going around. Which world are we living in where we say a pregnant lady cannot get married? We are releasing the film on April 7 come what may since the Censor Board has given us  a go ahead and we have got a U/A certificate without a single cut. So I see no reason why we should be scared. I shall meet the workers and address the issue.”

Produced by TP Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal and written and directed by Manish Harishankar, Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana also stars Vivaan Shah, Gurmeet Choudhary, Kavitta Verma along with Sanjay Mishra, Saurabh Shukla, Darshan Jariwala and others.

Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laaddoo Deewana is slated to release on April 7.
