The Septimius Awards in Amsterdam has announced its winners for 2024, and Bollywood movie Maidaan has secured the prestigious ‘Best Asian Film’ Award on this glittering night.

Held at the iconic Tuschinski Theatre on August 20th, the Septimius Awards are a celebration of cinematic excellence on a grand scale. This year, the ceremony was graced by a stellar lineup of BAFTA, Emmy, and Oscar winners, including the likes of Jenny Beavan, David Parfitt, Kevin Willmott, and Sir Christopher Hampton.

Maidaan is based on the life of Indian football legend Syed Abdul Rahim, who coached Team India in the golden era of football. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Maidaan features Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh.
