Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One Shiva was released in September 2022 and was a box office hit with earnings of over 400 crores at the global box office. Led by Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan, the film was the first part of the Brahmastra trilogy Ayan has planned. The film also starred Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, and Shah Rukh Khan.

On the work front, Ayan Mukerji is currently busy shooting for YRF's spy universe flick War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR. After finishing this ambitious project, Mukerji plans to get back to the Brahmastra trilogy and hopefully we will get the next two films of this mythological fantasy franchise.
