Now, there is big news for them, as Ranbir Kapoor has signed one of the biggest films of his career as well as one of the biggest Bollywood films.

Ranbir Kapoor has been signed for Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 4! The previous 3 films in the Dhoom franchise have been highly successful at the box office. The first Dhoom film starred John Abraham in the negative role, while Dhoom 2 saw Hrithik Roshan playing the negative character of Mr. A. The third film, Dhoom 3, got Aamir Khan on board for the double role, and now the fourth film will have Ranbir Kapoor in the signature role.

"Dhoom is a franchise dear to Aditya Chopra, and he has decided to reboot the franchise keeping in line with the current times. Like all previous parts, the script of Dhoom 4 (Dhoom Reloaded) has been developed by Aditya Chopra with Vijay Krishna Acharya. The idea and vision are to create a cinematic experience like never before with the fourth Dhoom film,” a source told Pinkvilla.

"The discussions with Ranbir have been going on for the longest time. He had always shown interest in being a part of Dhoom 4 on hearing the basic idea and is now finally confirmed to lead the franchise. Adi Chopra feels that RK is the ideal choice to carry forward the Dhoom legacy," the source added.

The fourth film is likely to have new characters as cops. "Two big heroes from the younger generation will come on board to play the duo of cop buddies in Dhoom 4. Now that the core storyboard is locked, the team will proceed to the casting stage. Dhoom 4 will not just be the biggest Dhoom film but also a tentpole feature film of global standard from Indian Cinema," confirmed Pinkvilla.
