Popular American singer, actress, and dancer Jennifer Lopez married Hollywood actor, producer, and director Ben Affleck in Las Vegas in 2022. The couple, popularly referred to as "Bennifer," is now getting divorced, leaving many fans disheartened.
After two years of an unstable relationship, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have decided to part ways officially. Multiple media houses have confirmed the news, with People Magazine getting inside information on the same.
As per sources, JLO finally filed for divorce on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Ben and JLO haven't been together for months now and have spent the entire summer separately.
"Jennifer is very disappointed and sad, but Ben hasn't given her any signs that he wants to continue their marriage," an insider told the magazine.
Lopez is ready to move on after two years of marriage, and Ben also doesn't want to be in an uncertain relationship. It is more like a mutual decision than a feud.
For the unversed, this was JLO's fifth marriage and second with Ben Affleck, counting the planned wedding with Ben, which got postponed due to media attention in 2003. Her previous husbands were Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony. Jennifer and Ben were engaged in 2002 and had postponed their wedding.
The couple split their ways in 2004 and started dating again in 2021. They got married in 2022 and filed for divorce in August 2024. Fans will surely miss the "Bennifer" now.
