Manu Bhaker reveals her techniques to Amitabh Bachchan at KBC 16 :

Manu Bhaker, who recently made India proud at the Paris Olympics 2024, will be coming to the KBC 16 tonight. The athlete won two bronze medals in Paris and won the hearts of crores of Indians and is now here at KBC to win crores of rupees. Joining her in this special episode, titled Jeet Ka Jashn, will be Aman Sehrawat, the youngest Indian to secure an individual Olympic medal in wrestling.

In a candid conversation with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Manu Bhaker reflects on her Tokyo performance and shares how she never lost hope, despite challenging conditions. From a young age, Manu aspired to win gold for India, and she remains dedicated to that dream. During their conversation, Mr. Bachchan expresses his curiosity about the sport, saying, "I used to wonder why shooters waited so long after taking a shot. I couldn’t grasp it until Abhishek explained that they’re controlling their breathing and heart rate; that’s why they take their time."

Additionally, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan asked Manu Bhaker if there is any particular technique that has helped her in her craft. Manu Bhaker explained, "At the start, having a strong foundation is crucial, and that applies to everything. Many people think shooting is simple—just pick up the pistol and aim—but it's much more complex than that. During a match, our heart rate accelerates, and we must remain composed, even if we're feeling anxious. Controlling that anxiousness or nervousness takes time and practice. To maintain focus, I rely heavily on yoga, Surya Namaskar, and meditation. I follow this routine with strict discipline. Additionally, I use a breathing technique with a 4:8 ratio: inhaling for 4 seconds and exhaling for 8 seconds. Mastering this through practice helps normalise my heart rate. During matches, when nerves make our hands shake while aiming, this breathing exercise helps me stay calm and focused."
