Khel Khel Mein Box Office Update:
Akshay Kumar and Mudassar Aziz's comedy drama, Khel Khel Mein, saw a bad first week at the box office. Clashing with Stree 2 has hampered the film a lot, and you can see that through the numbers and the difference between the two films.
Khel Khel Mein collected a poor 5.75 crore nett on day one, which was a national holiday. That was the only day when it scored 5 crore nett, and then the second-best day was Sunday, where it collected 4 crore nett. The first week total for the film stands at 19 crore+, which is certainly very low for an Akshay Kumar starrer, especially in the comedy genre.
A drama or niche appeal film doing this kind of numbers is acceptable since the trend in the last 2-3 years has remained the same, but KKM being a multi-starrer comedy should have done at least double of this.
Khel Khel Mein will struggle to keep screens in the second week and will not add any respectable totals. The lifetime numbers of this film are likely to be around 25 crore, or a little over it. As a whole, it is a loss maker for distributors and exhibitors and will bring in at least a 60–70 crore loss for the producers on theatrical returns.
Below are the collections of Khel Khel Mein :
Thursday - 5.75 crore
Friday - 2.25 crore
Saturday - 3.25 crore
Sunday - 4 crore
