Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa Box Office Update —
Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein has had a poor extended weekend despite two big holidays on Thursday and Sunday. The craze for Stree 2 was already high, but the film has received acceptance from the public, which is missing for Khel Khel Mein.
Khel Khel Mein collected a poor 15 crore nett in the extended weekend and will aim for 19–20 crore in the first week. The film hardly saw any noticeable jump in the numbers, and the Sunday numbers were probably the last time it crossed 3 crore nett figures.
Below are the collections of Khel Khel Mein at the Indian box office :
Thursday - 5.75 crore
Friday - 2 crore
Saturday - 3.25 crore
Sunday - 3.90-4 crore
Total - 15 crore nett approx.
John Abraham and Sharvari's Vedaa had a bigger opening than Khel Khel Mein but registered a bigger drop on the second, third, and fourth days. Vedaa will wind up having a lifetime total lower than Khel Khel Mein, at around 25–28 crore nett, but the cost of this film is lower than KKM.
Vedaa minted approx. 2.75 crore on Sunday and will probably not make another 2 crore nett single-day from here onwards. Many theatres have replaced 15-20% of Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa shows with Stree 2 due to poor performances.
Below are the collections of Vedaa :
Thursday - 6.25 crore
Friday - 2 crore
Saturday - 2.50 crore
Sunday - 2.75 crore
Total - 13.50 crore nett approx.
