Shah Rukh Khan-Suhana Khan's King postponed to 2026 :
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan, who debuted on OTT with The Archies last year, are teaming up on the big screen with King. This action thriller will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, and Siddharth Anand.
The film was scheduled to go on floors in August 2024, but due to scripting issues, the film couldn't kick off last month. It was said that the makers were looking to start the filming next month, but now it seems that the film won't face the lights and camera in 2024. As per latest reports, King will begin filming in 2025 and will be released in 2026—making it no SRK release in 2025 as well (after 2024), who had three back-to-back releases in 2023.
"Shah Rukh Khan is leaving no stone turned to make King a spectacle for the big screen and is working with Sujoy and Sid to get the script and action sequences right. The idea is to make his return to the big screen special again, as King will mark his comeback to films after a gap of almost 3 years. The makers want to shoot for the film in specific weather conditions in Europe, and January is when they intend to commence work on King," a source close to the development told Bolly Hungama to confirm the update.
