Raj Thackeray demands a ban on the India release of Fawad Khan's Pakistani film, "Legend of Maula Jatt." The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief took to his social media handle to share that the government should not allow the release of Pakistani films as they were banned already during the previous conflict in 2017. फवाद खान नावाच्या पाकिस्तानी अभिनेत्याचा, 'लिजेंड ऑफ मौला जट' नावाचा सिनेमा लवकरच भारतात प्रदर्शित होणार आहे. महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेना हा सिनेमा कुठल्याही परिस्थितीत महाराष्ट्रात प्रदर्शित होऊ देणार नाही. पाकिस्तानी कलाकारांचे सिनेमे मुळात भारतात प्रदर्शित का होऊ दिले जातात?

आणि कलेला देशांच्या सीमा नसतात, हे सगळं इतर बाबतीत ठीक आहे, पण पाकिस्तानच्या बाबतीत हे अजिबात चालू देणार नाही. हिंदुस्थानचा द्वेष या एकमेव मुद्द्यावर जो देश तगला आहे, अशा देशातील कलाकारांना इथे आणून नाचवणं, त्यांचे सिनेमे प्रदर्शित करून देणं हा काय प्रकार सुरु आहे? महाराष्ट्र सोडाच पण देशातील कुठल्याच राज्यात हा सिनेमा तिथल्या तिथल्या सरकारांनी प्रदर्शित होऊ नाही दिला पाहिजे.

अर्थात बाकीच्या राज्यांनी काय करायचं हा त्यांचा प्रश्न आहे. महाराष्ट्रात हा सिनेमा रिलीज होऊ दिला जाणार नाही, हे नक्की.

या आधी असे प्रसंग जेंव्हा आले होते तेंव्हा महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेनेने दिलेला दणका सगळ्यांना आठवत असेल. त्यामुळे थिएटर मालकांना सध्या तरी नम्रपणे आवाहन आहे की उगाच सिनेमा प्रदर्शित करण्याच्या भानगडीत पडू नका.

हा सिनेमा जेंव्हा प्रदर्शित होणार आहे, त्याच्या आसपास नवरात्रौत्सव सुरु होणार आहे. अशावेळेस कुठलाही संघर्ष महाराष्ट्रात व्हावा अशी माझी इच्छा नाही. आणि तशीच ती इच्छा राज्याचे मुख्यमंत्री, गृहमंत्री आणि राज्याच्या पोलीस महासंचालकांची पण नसणार. आणि उगाच संघर्ष आम्हाला पण नको आहे.

त्यामुळे वेळीच पाऊलं उचलून हा सिनेमा आपल्याकडे प्रदर्शित होणार नाही हे पहावं. मराठी सिनेमांना थिएटर्स उपलब्ध करून देताना मागेपुढे करणाऱ्या थिएटर मालकांनी जर पाकिस्तानी सिनेमाला या भूमीत पायघड्या घातल्या, तर हे औदार्य महागात पडेल हे विसरू नये.

कुठल्यातरी पाकिस्तानी सिनेमासाठी राज्यात संघर्ष होऊ नये अशीच माझी इच्छा आहे आणि सरकार त्याकडे योग्य ते लक्ष देईल याची मला खात्री आहे.

Pakistan is based on hatred of India, then why do we need to bring their stars here and screen their films? Navratri festival will start around the time when this movie will be released. I don't want any issues to happen in Maharashtra. And the same will not be the desire of the Chief Minister, Home Minister and Director General of Police of the state. And we don't want any conflict either.

So, we should take timely steps and see that this movie is not released in our country. It should not be forgotten that the same theater owners are reluctant to provide theaters for Marathi films, and now if they allow Pakistani cinema to enter this land, then this generosity will cost them.

I wish that there should be no fights in our state over a Pakistani cinema and I am sure that the government will pay attention to it.
