Sanjay Tiwari shows evidence against Raaj Shaandilyaa :

Producer Sanjay Tiwari claimed that the story of Raaj Shaadilyaa's comedy drama, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, has been copied from Gulbanu Khan's 2015 film "Sex Hai Toh Life Hai?" Today, he publicly refuted claims made by writer-director Raaj Shaandilyaa regarding the concept for the film "Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video."

Tiwari alleged that Shaandilyaa and his team copied the idea from his original work he registered earlier, igniting a significant controversy within the industry.

Tiwari accused Raaj Shaandilyaa of copying the storyline from a script titled "Sex Hai Toh Life Hai...?" which was registered by Gulbanu Khan in 2015. In response, Shaandilyaa’s team said that their concept, originally titled "Uthal-Poothal," was registered in October 2015 by Yusuy Ali Khan. Tiwari, however, insists that his registration predates theirs.

Tiwari took a press conference today and stated, “On 27th October 2015, Yusuf and Raaj registered the idea under the title Uthal-Poothal. I had mine registered on 28th August 2015, a full two months earlier. The entire concept and idea have been copied without permission.”

Tiwari emphasized the significance of the original idea in creative works. “The idea is the most crucial element. Once it’s there, you can spin a script or screenplay around it, but copying the original idea is a serious violation,” he asserted, reinforcing his stance against Shaandilyaa’s claims.

When asked about taking legal action, Tiwari remarked, “I will consider moving to the High Court to ban the film if necessary. I can get a stay order, but I also hope that their legal team and the media will address this issue with the seriousness it deserves.”

Tiwari also expressed frustration with the Screenwriters Association (SWA), stating, “I cannot just rely on SWA; their due process is outdated. I approached them, and I was told to wait until after the film's release to evaluate the situation. Despite having a large membership, their work culture is inadequate in this digital age.”

The dispute between Sanjay Tiwari and Raaj Shaandilyaa highlights critical issues surrounding intellectual property and creative integrity in the film industry. As the situation develops, the resolution of this conflict could have broader implications for how creative works are protected and valued in Indian cinema.
