The Buckingham Murders first week box office collections:

The Buckingham Murders is another flop in post-Stree times. The Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer wasn't supposed to do well in the first place due to its niche appeal, but the actual numbers are even lower than expected. The film managed to collect only 7.5 crore nett in the first week and might end its lifetime run just a penny ahead of a double-digit figure.

The Buckingham Murders

The Buckingham Murders opened poorly last Friday and was also hurt by the re-release of Tumbbad, which has emerged as a success due to its popularity amongst movie buffs. That went against Hansal Mehta's directorial, but it can't be the main reason for the film's failure. The Buckingham Murders mainly failed to attract audiences and get the kind of word of mouth it was supposed to get.

The film tanked badly on weekdays, despite the holiday boost on Eid-e-Milad and Ganapati Visarjan. The Monday collections were below the 1 crore nett mark, which pretty much sealed its fate. Now, the film will be out of cinemas this week but may get a few screens due to not-so-exciting new releases.
