Vedaa
John Abraham's Vedaa and Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein were fighting for the second spot at the box office, as Stree 2 was ahead by a 12 times higher margin. The battle is won by John's action flick as far as the opening numbers are concerned.

John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh's action drama Vedaa collected approx. 6.25 crore nett on 1300–1400 screens in India. The film saw decent occupancy in mass centres in Mumbai, Pune, Rajasthan, and Gujrat. But the other territories, especially Bengal, CI, and CP, couldn't provide good numbers on the opening day. The film will see a drop in numbers on the second day, but it will be interesting to see if the film can stay ahead of Khel Khel Mein in the lifetime numbers.
Khel Khel Mein
Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein, which also stars a big ensemble cast of Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, and Pragya Jaiswal, failed to create magic on the first day. Mudassar Aziz's comedy was running with below-average occupancy in multiplexes across the urban areas and was very low at single screens and mass belts.
Khel Khel Mein was struggling for screens amidst Stree 2 hype and ended with the lowest screen count amongst the three films. The comic caper collected 5.20–5.25 crore nett on the first day, which is a poor total and the lowest amongst the three Bollywood releases on Independence Day 2024. Things aren't looking good for the film, and it will struggle for a decent hold in the coming days.
