Bad Newz Review Movie Talkies
Bad Newz Review: Anand Tiwari brings a unique comedy entertainer of the year with Bad Newz. 5 years after the super hit Good Newwz, Dharma Productions produces a film on a sensitive matter like pregnancy, but it isn't a regular case. Bad Newz is more unique when it comes to building the plot and getting the screenplay right. The same is boosted by hilarious dialogues that add Bollywood tadka to every single scene, leaving you split after every single scene.
Bad Newz is easily the most hilarious comedy of the year because the number of spoofs, PJs, and jokes is too high. The trailer did not give much idea about it, but it is there, and it overflows, leaving your cheeks in pain from laughter. What makes it better is the emotional boost that took over the entire narrative in the last quarter. Beginning in Delhi, Bad Newz is about Saloni (Triptii Dimri), a chef who wants to win the highest award in the field. She meets charismatic and handsome punjabi munda, Akhil Chaddha (Vicky Kaushal), and it's a perfect case of "chatt mangni patt biyah." However, married life isn't that smooth, and they part ways. Heartbroken and restless, Saloni then mingles with another Punjabi guy, Gurbir (Ammy Virk), in Masoorie. Six weeks later, Saloni gets pregnant and asks Akhil and Gurbir to go through a paternity test. Making it a rare phenomenon out of crores, Saloni is pregnant by a medical term called "heteropaternal superfecundation," which makes Akhil and Gurbir both fathers. Who will she accept? Who will give up?
The first half of the film is what we call a perfect mainstream Bollywood comedy, but even in that, the screenplay and dialogue don't forget to add crisp. From KKKG, DDLJ, Bhabhi 2, National Crush, Mohabbatein, and Besharam Rang to what not. Bad Newz has gags coming from all over, and you'll relate to every single moment from those popular Bollywood flicks.Akhil's character, played by Vicky Kaushal, will woo female audiences. He is that kind of man. He will do everything to express his love and defend it. Triptii Dimri as Saloni looks breathtaking, and she has done well as a new-age heroine. She is leading the show here, and it's good to see a pregnant lady character getting all the attention from all over. Ammy is that typical Bichara Punjabi Munda, but his simplicity wins you completely. The best supporting role goes to Neha Dhupia, and she gets fine support from Sheeba Chadha, Tarun Dudeja, and others.
Bad Newz has a super hit album. Tauba Tauba is hot in the market, and watching all those sexy moves of Vicky on the big screen is a different experience altogether. Jaanam is a spicy and intimate number, and Rabba Warga is a soulful romantic melody. There are two more songs in the film, and they work according to situations, including Vicky's introduction song. The cinematography and production design are good, and the editing makes it a very engaging affair.Anand Tiwari has made a comedy that will appeal to the masses and classes alike. Those filmy PJs and jokes are for classes, whereas the other regular punches are there to make the masses go crazy. In short, Tiwari's film is a bona fide blockbuster, but moreover, it's a very sensible film at heart. The unique tadka of Bollywood-style entertainment meets the most hilarious comedy of the year to form a perfect blockbuster called Bad Newz. Go and have fun at cinemas near you. This one brings "Good News" for you.
