Deadpool and Wolverine Review: "Let's give the public what they have come for," says Deadpool before starting the flight with Wolverine, and we get the hell of a show we've come for. Deadpool and Wolverine does brutal fan service as both characters, Deadpool and Wolverine, go wild and unapologetic with their characteristics. So you thought Deadpool did the best abusing in the previous two films? Wait till you watch Deadpool and Wolverine. "Let's fuking go..." and "Read the room" are actually personal because it's not just his lines; it's us, the viewers, who sing them along with him. Wolverine doesn't give a F about it, but he is the f-ing hero you've been waiting to see. That's not just it; Deadpool and Wolverine has some surprising and twisting cameos that will make you go crazy as an MCU fan. Just hold on to your seats and enjoy this blasting fan service from Marvel.publive-imageAfter the Loki series, every MCU fan has become familiar with the TVA stuff—the timelines, variants, and dangers of the multiverse, right? Deadpool and Wolverine weren't part of it until now, but now they are here to rip it off and undo the earlier mistakes. Wade Wilson/Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is chosen for a job, and he has to find his "anchor being," the "Logan/Wolverine" (Hugh Jackman). Unfortunately, the good one died in the Logan flick, so Deadpool has to take the worst one, who has destroyed his own universe. The two are pruned to trash and are captured by Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin). The mighty duo escapes, meets the other members of the X-men (from the past), and returns to Nova's den willingly. Can they stop her and get her to help them go back to Deadpool's timeline?Deadpool and Wolverine ReviewD&W starts off with classic title cards written on bones, as Deadpool is busy using those 206 bones from a human's body (actually 207, IYKWIM). The narration, or rather the introduction, is damn funny and unique, and it also has a mass appeal due to the animatic bloodshed. The film has an engaging screenplay that doesn't bore you because you have surprises coming in every 15-20 minutes. Deadpool, Wolverine, Nova, Lady Deadpool, Dogpool, Electra, Pyro, Sabretooth, X-23, Human Torch (this is the most special one), Gambit, and whatnot—you have a big carnival of cameos coming from the times when MCU didn't even exist. From Fox to Disney to Marvel, Deadpool did not leave anyone from bashing. The humor stands high, for sure, but it's those entertaining conversations he makes with audiences that stand out. As mentioned earlier, D&W is a fan service, so prepare yourself for the best and craziest fan service since Endgame (GOGT 3 was great too).Deadpool and Wolverine ReviewRyan Reynolds runs absolutely riot as Deadpool. He wanted to matter, and it's his Deadpool that matters the most for the audience. Hugh Jackman has a few breathtaking scenes that will stun Wolverine's fans. Those abs in the climax scene brought the loudest cheer for him. Matthew Macfadyen was decent in his role, and I seriously think Morena Baccarin's character of Vanessa and her disturbed romance with Wade should stop at once. There is a huge supporting cast of Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Shioli Kutsuna, Lewis Stan, Jennifer Garner, Aaron Stanford, Dafne Keen, Tyler Mane, Chris Evans, Channing Tatum, Henry Cavill, and others who are perfect fits for their roles. Emma Corrin presents the most powerful character in the entire movie, but she deserved a better send-off, I believe.publive-imageDeadpool and Wolverine is not heavy on VFX— that's surprising, but it's high on action. There are plenty of action sequences between Deadpool and Wolverine; some have them together, some are like those assemble-avengers kinds of segments, and then there is the Deadpool army in the end. Too much fun. The sound design is perfect, and you can feel it in IMAX viewing. I wish it was 3D, though. The film is boosted by absurdly sarcastic humor and the shiittiest one-liners ever coming from Deadpool's mouth, and it will take a moment or two for you to understand them. Shawn Levy was making comedy movies when Marvel was introducing X-Men and The Fantastic Four to us in the early and mid-2000s, so he must have had many memories for himself. He just brought all those memories and nostalgia and mixed them with the future of MCU to serve us with a blockbuster fan-ride. The multiverse has failed, again and again, and it seems that D&W took a personal dig at the MCU as a fan. We are with you, buddy. Overall, Deadpool and Wolverine is non-stop entertainment with plenty of new things for fans as well as neutral cine-goers.
