Aaditi Pohankar became SHE in the first season of Netflix's erotic thriller and stunned everyone. More than the series, people remember her persona in the series and then that crime angle boost, which has been receiving acclaim since the Sacred Games era, came to escalate the buzz. She Season 2 continues the same thrill with restricted adultery and offers new twists in this female lead criminal's crossover. Imtiaz Ali's creation is truly pathbreaking for his image. However, Netflix is quite familiar with the "A" rated content set in the crime ghetto. The second season of SHE does not surpass its predecessor, but definitely lives up to the hype created by viewers. She season 2 begins where the first season ends. After swearing her allegiance to drug-lord Nayak (Kishore Kumar G), Bhumi (Aaditi Pohankar) must walk the dangerous line between siding with the police or with him, while simultaneously exploring her newfound sexual liberation, as Nayak’s larger plan unfolds. By halftime, we get a new twist to the story, which is somewhat predictable as you know that this wasn't supposed to happen so soon. But then we have a new set-up where Bhumi takes the lead, which is unexpectedly surprising. Now what's that, how and why? Let's avoid spoilers here. Watch the full series on Netflix to find the answers. She 2 may not be a great script, and it is unnecessarily vulgar with pointless methods of sexual desire linked to ultimate liberation, but it's a good piece of writing for sure. You may not find any logic and may miss the characters' sense at times, but you never lose interest in it, which is why you stick with it for 7 episodes. Those who love watching sexually explicit scenarios attached to crime segments will surely like it, and those who liked season 1 won't need any further explanation on why they would enjoy watching it.The lead star, Aaditi Pohankar, is truly a star of the series, and she proves it again. Her sex appeal, dialogue delivery, expressions, tone and body language are all immersed in the character of Bhumi. However illogical it may seem (who wants sophisticated logic in crime dramas anyway?), she doesn't lose control of her character. Kishore Kumar G is a true mastermind villain from the dark world of crime, and he makes you believe in his evilness. Vishwas Kini as Fernandez continues the flow from the last season, and so do Shivani Rangole and Suhita Thatte. Saqib Ayub, Vishesh Sagar, Paritosh Sand, Monika Dabade, Sandeep Dhabale and Dhruv Thukral are fine in the particular roles that play an important part in the narrative.Arif Ali as a director doesn't go off-track, but he doesn't make mistakes either. Call it an advantage and a disadvantage too; the choice is yours. The advantage is that he doesn't spoil the theme by going away from the original source material, and the disadvantage is that one might have expected something different this time, and then it has to face disappointment. Nevertheless, the show is made for the die-hard fans and not the new ones, but somehow it makes for a good watch for both of them. Ali could have had it a little trimmed from the editor and made it more engaging, but I don't really think that runtime is a big issue for web series lovers. As a whole, She Season 2 packs enough ingredients for its audience, whereas Aaditi Pohankar continues to rule the entire show with her maverick presence.
