Aamir recently visited The Great Indian Kapil Show, and he opened up about how his parents were strongly against him entering the film industry.

He said, "I did backstage for a year and a half and also did two plays. My parents and my uncle were huge filmmakers themselves. But he was opposed to the idea of his children entering the film industry, and the reason behind that was that the film industry is highly volatile. You never know if you will succeed or not. They wanted their children to be in a more steady profession with fewer ups and downs. So they were strongly against it."
