Ranbir Kapoor's Animal has emerged as a huge blockbuster at the box office, and everyone is raving about the superstar's performance in the film. A new addition to the list is filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor. The film maker hailed Ranbir Kapoor's performance and also supported the movie despite several controversial remarks.Speaking at a news conclave in Delhi, Abhishek Kapoor said, "The film (Animal) has an A certification. It may be misogynistic, but people like that exist. As filmmakers and creative artists, we should celebrate freedom of speech."He lauded Ranbir Kapoor's performance, saying, "It just blew me away. He was doing what the director was asking him to do. And that is so rare to see among a certain calibre of stars today. They all feel that they have to cater to their audience, so they have a set of things that they want to do. They will not do a lot of things, and then the vision of the director gets compromised," said Kapoor.

"And when the film is loved by the public, you cannot just negate it for its negative traits. The film has some negative traits, but it is just a film, and it is for your entertainment," concluded Kapoor.
