Dharma Productions hits a massive deal:

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, which is one of the most prominent production houses in the industry, has hit a massive deal of Rs. 1000 crore. Adar Poonawalla, a billionaire vaccine creator and businessman who is also a CEO of Serum Institute of India and Chairman of Poonawalla Fincorp, to take 50% stakes in Dharma Productions.

Adar Poonawalla buys 50% stakes in Dharma Productions for Rs. 1000 crores. Mr. Karan Johar will continue to remain as the chairman of the company with 50% shares and will also have all the creative control over the operations. His companion, Mr. Apoorva Mehta, will continue to be Chief Executive Officer of the production company, worth Rs. 2000 crores. The deal is said to be highly beneficial for Dharma Productions as they will spread their financial services wider with the upcoming projects.
