Ajay Devgn vs. Hrithik Roshan in Pavan Khind? 

Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan's face-off in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020) was loved by the audience. Now, the actor is planning the next film in the same franchise, which will tell the story of another warrior from history books. This time, it will be the tale of brave Maratha warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande, who sacrificed his life while battling enemies in Ghod Khind, later named Pavan Khind, with his blood.

Ajay is planning to bring Hrithik Roshan on board for this one to make it bigger than Tanhaji. "Ajay feels Hrithik has tremendous screen presence and charisma. Couple that with his acting prowess, and the superstar will be a towering rival to Ajay’s character," shared an insider from the project with Mid-Day.

The story will be set in the 17th century, but a lot of details are yet to be discussed and finalized. "The braveheart is known for his role in the Battle of Pavan Khind, which took place in 1660 and saw him sacrificing his life to defend Shivaji Maharaj. But Ajay and Om hit the brakes on their plan when the Marathi film, Pawankhind [2022], which explored the same subject, was made. Now, they are toying with two options—either tell the same story on a grander scale or choose another hero from the Maratha kingdom. The talks are still at the nascent stage. They haven’t entirely scrapped the idea of making the Baji Prabhu biopic, as a lot of research and planning had been done on that front," the source told the portal.

Ajay and Hrithik will surely make a grand film, and fans would love to see it. Hopefully, this one happens, unlike many other shelved projects. It will be exciting for sure.
