Pawankhind and Subhedar Fame Ajay Purkar To Play Villain In Ram Pothineni's Skanda —

Ajay Purkar will be seen playing one of the villains in Ram Pothineni's upcoming pan-India movie, "Skanda". The film is set to be released on September 15, 2023. Ajay Purkar is famous for portraying the lead roles in popular historical epics like Pawankhind and the recently released Subhedar.Santosh Detake, the DOP of Shanda, has been impressed by Ajay Purkar's performances in Pawankhind and Subhedar. He liked his dialogue delivery, transformation, and dedication to his roles. Detake suggested his name to Skanda's director, Boyapati Srinivas, and that's how Ajay Purkar was selected to play one of the antagonists in the film.

Sharing his experience of working in a pan-India film, Skanda, Ajay Purkar said, "It's a very big and proud thing for me that such a big filmmaker from the south noticed my work in Marathi movies. I learned a lot about work and its ethics during the shoot of Skanda in Hyderabad. South cinema has established itself as a standalone industry, and it's a dream for every actor to do different roles in different movies. I am happy that I'm getting such opportunities".
