publive-imageCine1 Studio Pvt. Ltd., which was one of the producers of Ranbir Kapoor's recent blockbuster Animal, has moved to Delhi High Court against the OTT release of the film. The production house has filed a suit against T-Series Films for breach of contract.

Murad Khetani's Cine1 has accused T-Series of dishonouring the profit-sharing agreement and failing to provide financial compensation despite the film's box office success. The profit-sharing term was agreed upon at 35% by both parties, but T-Series didn't keep their word. The client will appear in court on Thursday.

As per Senior Advocate Sandeep Sethi's suit, T-Series has released the film without proper approval. "Super Cassettes has not only released the film without the approval, consent, or consultation of the plaintiff, but it has also incurred expenses for making, promoting, and releasing the film without the plaintiff's approval or consent and received revenues from box office sales but failed to disclose or disburse any sums to the plaintiff," reads the suit filed by Cine1 Studios.

Additionally, the suit mentioned, "It also failed to ensure that the contractually agreed credits (including logos) are duly accorded and are of equal prominence in all modes of promotion as well as the film, failed to get the censor certificate issued in the joint name of the plaintiff and defendant, and failed to consult or obtain consent in regards to the marketing and publicity plan."
