Asha Bhosle, Vidya Balan, Pankaj Udhas & Others To Be Honoured With Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle will be honoured with the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar this year, while Vidya Balan, Pankaj Udhas, and Prasad Oak, among others, will be honoured with the Master Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar 2023.

From the last 33 years, the Mangeshkar family has been felicitating legends from the fields of music, drama, art, medical professionals, and social work with these prestigious awards. This year's award ceremony will take place at Sri Shanmukhananda Hall, Sion, on Monday, April 24, 2023. Every year, this programme is organised on April 24, i.e., the memorial day of Master Deenanath Ji.Since last year, the Mangeshkar family and the Trust (all the Trustees are family members) have decided to institute an award in honour and memory of Hon’ble Bharat Ratna Lata Didi. This award will be known as the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar. This award is given every year to an individual who has made pathbreaking and exemplary contributions to our nation, its people, and our society. The first Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar was given to the Hon. Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji, last year.
