Ayesha Jhulka To Make Her Comeback In This Film!

Ayesha Jhulka was the quintessential girl next door during her first innings in Bollywood way back in the 90's. The Pehla Nasha girl disappeared from the scene quite suddenly and we never really got to hear about her. But now it seems that Ayesha Jhulka is all set to make a comeback. Read on to know more.

As per a report by a leading daily, Ms.Jhulka will be making her Bollywood comeback with Gadar director Anil Sharma's upcoming film Genius. The film also marks the debut of Sharma's son, Utkarsh. The report adds that Jhulka will essay the role of the mother of Utkarsh's love interest, played by actress Ishita Chauhan. Speaking about her role in the film and her comeback, Ms.Jhulka expressed that she was not really prepared to work again, but on Anil's insistence she gave in. Ayesha shared that her character in the film was that of a classy, elegant and an independent woman who is also a liberal mother and has a friendly relationship with her daughter. Jhulka elaborated that her role in the film was not the typical, conventional mother, which is why she said yes to it. She articulated that the best part was that she was working with people she knew and mentioned that it was like a homecoming for her.

Ayesha Jhulka also shared some information about her future plans and mentioned that she and her husband would be jointly directing a love story with consumerism as the backdrop and should be able to take it on the floors in a year or so.

Genius is apparently all set to go on the floors in December. It would be interesting to see how Ayesha Jhulka fares in her second innings in Bollywood!
