Beloved Comedian & Bollywood Actor Raju Srivastav Dies Due To Brain Damage

publive-imageOne of the most loved Hindi comedians and Bollywood actors, Raju Srivastav, passed away today. He was 58 years old and took his last breath at Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Srivastav's family confirmed the news to the media after several reports of his health being critical were spread on the internet.

Raju Srivastav was admitted to the hospital on August 9 after suffering a heart attack. The doctor confirmed that he had suffered brain damage too during the treatment and was put on a ventilator. His health kept deteriorating and he lost the battle with death today.

Raju made his Bollywood debut with N. Chandra's "Tezaab" (1988). He appeared in small cameos in "Maine Pyaar Kiya" (1989) and "Baazigar" (1993). He became a household name after his participation in a stand-up comedy show, "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" in 2005. He continued making people laugh with several appearances in movies and comedy shows. We pray for his soul to rest in peace.
