"Bhagam Bhag 2 will be madder, crazier & funnier," confirms producer

Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Govinda's fans are in for a massive treat with the upcoming sequel. This hilarious trio from Bhagam Bhag (2006) is to return in Bhagam Bhag 2, and the producer has just confirmed that it will be funnier and madder than before.

As reported a couple of weeks ago, the madness of Bhagam Bhag is set to return after 18 years. Starring Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal in lead roles, Bhagam Bhag is considered one of director Priyadarshan’s best films, and now we are getting a sequel with the same cast. Currently in the final stages of writing, Bhagam Bhag 2 is slated to go on floors in mid-2025, but before that, here are some exciting comments from the producers.

The rights for the sequel were recently acquired from Shemaroo Entertainment by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions, who has also been simultaneously working on the film’s script. She will be producing the film along with Shemaroo.

When asked why it took so long for the sequel, Sarita replied, “Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as much special; when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge."

“We are excited to partner with an incredible team to create a film that will continue the legacy of its predecessor by bringing more laughter, fun, and entertainment,” added Hiren Gada, the CEO of Shemaroo Entertainment.
