Ajay Devgn and Tabu's Bholaa has taken a decent opening of around 10 crore nett in India. The holiday boost has lifted the collections in some mass pockets, while urban centres were below par. Had there been no Ram Navmi holiday, the film would have struggled for a double-digit opening.Bholaa took off with 15% occupancy in the morning shows and then registered approx. 30% occupancy in the post-noon shows. The cities like Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi have underperformed for the film, which cost about 2 crore nett on the first day.The Ramadan effect is there, but still, 10 crore nett is an underwhelming number since it's a commercial action flick. Ajay has his biggest opener, Singham Returns, in the same genre. Bholaa was fronted by a northern theme, which kept city audiences away. The same multiplexes registered good numbers, almost double, for Drishyam 2.
