The trailer of Karan Johar’s upcoming film, Bhoot Part One: the Haunted Ship was unveiled yesterday and while speculations were rife that the film is a remake of Hollywood film Ghost Ship (2002), the makers of the Bhumi Pednekar-Vicky Kaushal starrer have refuted the rumours.

At the trailer launch, when the makers were asked if the film is an adaptation of Ghost Ship, director Bhanu Pratap Singh said, “It’s not, this is an entirely different film.”

To his response, KJo cheekily added, “Tell me now, I have not seen Ghost Ship. I don’t want any legal case before the release date. It’s not like originality is our strength but puri tarah copy nahi kartey (laughs).”

Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta  and Shashank Khaitan, the film will release on February 2
