After the success of Farzi, Shahid Kapoor is back with another OTT project, Bloody Daddy. This marks Ali Abbas Zafar's third OTT release after Tandav and Jogi, as it will be released directly on the newly launched platform Jio Cinema. Check out the trailer below:
Bloody Daddy is a remake of the French action thriller, Nuit Blanche / Sleepless Night (2011), which has already been remade in Tamil by Rajesh Selva and Kamal Haasan as Thoongaa Vanam (2015). The same story is copied again on the screen with a few abusive dialogues (a pretty normal trend for OTT films as they don't care about family audiences), mediocre action scenes, and dismal execution that have nothing new to offer.Shahid Kapoor and Ali Abbas Zafar's duo created an exciting atmosphere when the project was announced, but looking at the trailer, it doesn't seem like an exciting film anymore. If you have seen Sleepless Nights, then surely it's a good-for-nothing product. Rest, we will see how the final product comes out. Wait for the review on June 9, 2023.
