Khalid Siddiqui On Pooja Films
Amidst the fight between Ali Abbas Zafar and producers Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani, the BMCM actor Khalid Siddiqui has confirmed to us that Pooja Films didn't pay his fees.
The war between BMCM director Ali Abbas Zafar and producers Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani is getting hotter day by day. First, it was Ali Abbas Zafar who filed a complaint against producers for not paying his fees, and after that, it was Bhagnanis who went to police against Zafar for misusing their fund. Now, one of the BMCM actors has confirmed that the producers indeed didn't keep their word.
Khalid Siddiqui, who played a role of a diplomat officer in the film, shared that Pooja Films didn't pay his fees. He kept asking about the payment, but the makers didn't pay heed to his requests. It was Ali Abbas Zafar who paid money to him for his work after the subsidy amount was received.
Siddiqui shared on his social media handles, "Read an article about the false accusations and maligning of a reputed director/producer by Puja Films; the truth is the other way around; I was an actor in Bade Miya Chote Miya (BMCM). The truth is that it was the team at Puja Films who had not paid me and a lot of people who had worked on film bmcm. My contract being that the payments to be made immediately after shoot, I had to beg for my payment for nearly a year and a half, spoke to everyone in Puja Films but of no avail, then as a last resort called Jackie Bhagnani (as all said, he is the final decision maker). He promised he would pay, but again, no results, and eventually he blocked me. In such a situation, it was the only team at AAZ Films who would always answer the calls and reassure me that I would be paid. And as soon as the Abu Dhabi subsidy of BMCM got cleared, the team at AAZ Films paid us and cleared our dues. If it had been for Puja Films, we still would be begging for money. I would have never spoken about it, but falsely accusing someone compelled me to speak the fact of the matter."
Confirming the same, he told Movie Talkies, "What we have written is the truth, and all I can say is it is Ali Abbas Zafar who has been honest to us about his commitments, whereas Puja films didn’t honor their commitments."
