The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against NCB officer Sameer Wankhede. The CBI filed a case against Wankhede for asking for a bribe of Rs. 25 crore from the owners of the Cordelia ship. This is the same ship where Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan was arrested two years ago.
Aryan Khan and his friends were arrested by Wankhede and his colleague in an alleged drug case. Aryan and his friends are freed by the court, but the heat is on the other side now. Sameer Wankhede and four more officers have been named by the CBI in the bribery case.
The CBI is also conducting raids at Wankhede's Mumbai residence to find more evidence. They are also raiding 28 other locations in the same case. More details about the investigation are awaited.
