German-Austrian actor Christoph Waltz, who had wowed everyone with his role as the menacing Colonel Hans Landa in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds, has been signed up to play the baddie in the next Bond flick, which will star Daniel Craig as the British secret agent.
Buzz has it that Waltz will play the iconic Bond villain Ernst Stavro Blofeld, who heads the evil organization SPECTRE and is always devising plans for killing his sworn enemy Bond. In the past, Blofeld has also been portrayed by many actors over the years, including Donald Pleasence, Telly Savalas, Charles Gray, and Max von Sydow.
Apart from Waltz and Craig, the next Bond flick will also have Ralph Fiennes playing M, the head of Secret Service.
