A Delhi-based lawyer, Vineet Jindal, has filed a complaint against Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha for disrespecting Indian army personnel as well as hurting religious sentiments. Aamir Khan, producers, Paramount Pictures, and director Advait Chandan are all named in the complaint.Lawyer Vineet Jindal sought an FIR under sections IPC 153, 153A, 298 and 505. Jindal mentioned that only physically and mentally fit officers are recruited by the Indian Army. In the movie, Laal's character, who is half-witted, is involved in the Kargil War. He alleged that the makers deliberately depicted this scene to demoralise and defame the Indian Army. The other big allegation was about religious sentiments, as Laal saves a Pakistani officer in the film. He becomes a business partner with Laal and is shown stunned to see Ajmal Kasab on TV when he attacked the Taj Hotel in Mumbai in 2007. He asks Laal about doing Pooja Paath, to which Laal answers, "Meri Mummy kehti thi, Usse Malaria felta hai ji." Jinal called this scene offensive for a democratic and religious nation like us.
