Devara (Hindi) does well on Gandhi Jayanti; Can emerge as a Success

Devara Hindi Box office update:

Devara has done well on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday. The Jr. NTR starrer collected approx. 6.40–6.50 crore nett on the sixth day, taking its total over 40 crore nett. It was a good jump of over 60% considering the Monday and Tuesday hold of the film.

Distributed by AA Films and Dharma Productions in the north market, Devara is likely to emerge as a "SUCCESS" in the Hindi-dubbed market. It may be difficult to get a "HIT" verdict since the opening weekend was not that high, and it will face a major competition on October 11 with Jigra and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. The release planning has worked in the film's favor, as there was no Hindi movie yesterday. Devara Part 1 is enjoying that free space and will see a respectable total by the end of the second weekend.

The first-week numbers of the film will be in the range of 43 crore nett, and then the film will cross the 50 crore nett mark in the second weekend, followed by the 60 crore nett club in the second week. It will be interesting to see if the film can make it to the 75 crore nett mark and get a "Semi-Hit" verdict. It very much depends on the third weekend when Jigra arrives on Dussehra weekend.
