Doordarshan, aka DD National Channel, has changed its logo colour from Blue to Saffron. Soon after it went viral on the internet, people started to react to it. Some liked it since the original colour at the time of its launch was saffron only, while others are giving it a political touch amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
The honourable chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, took a sly look at this new innovation and blamed the election commission.
I am shocked at the sudden saffronisation and change of colour of our Doordarshan logo when the national elections are taking place across the country! It is absolutely unethical, grossly illegal, and speaks loudly of the pro-BJP bias of the national public broadcaster!

How could the Election Commission of India allow this crude, pro-Saffron violation of the Model Code of Conduct when the people are in the electoral mode?! ECI must immediately stop it and reverse the change to go back to the original blue colour of the logo of Doordarshan!"
However, some netizens could not resist reminding Mamata Banerjee that earlier the logo was saffron-coloured only. Check out some Twitter/X users reactions below.

This is @DDNational going back to its original orange, in line with this change being brought about for brand consistency, as this had been done already, previously, for @DDIndialive before #G20 2023. https://t.co/EmhHq0wYxO pic.twitter.com/BG7pyOBfvH

Even Bollywood filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri couldn't resist replying to Banerjee's tweet, as he wrote, "BEWARE:
Every nation has a primary colour. What's wrong if the national channel uses nation’s cultural colour? Just because @MamataOfficial is painting Bengal green does it mean it has become Pakistan? Who knows? Maybe. FYI, Firhad Hakim, aka Bobby Hakim, in an interview to a Pakistani journo, Maleeha Siddiqui, said "Please come along and let us take you to mini-Pakistan in Kolkata." He was referring to Garden Reach area in Kolkata. Beware."
