Action against Yash's Toxic:
Yash, Nayanthara, and Kiara Advani's Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups is currently being shot in Film City, Mumbai. The film was previously shot in Bengaluru in the earlier schedule, and it seems that the same schedule has brought the film into environmental controversy.
Karnataka Environment Minister, Mr. Eshwar Khandre, accused Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) for tree cutting in Bengaluru's Peenya, a place where Toxic was shot a few days ago. The minister wrote a letter to the Additional Chief Secretary and demanded strict action against HMT for heavy damage to the environment.

"This is a serious violation. Hundreds of trees have been removed without permission, and we are seeking strict legal repercussions," said Eshwar Khandre, as per a report in ANI. He also claimed that the 599-acre property was illegally transferred to HMT.
Khandre further added, "HMT is not only leasing the land to private entities but also renting forestland for film sets. In the case of Toxic, a massive set was erected on land reportedly sold to Canara Bank, leading to significant tree-cutting.” To which a spokesperson for the production house of Toxic said, "We conducted a comprehensive survey in February 2024 and have submitted relevant documents. We await the Forest Department's report and will challenge these claims if necessary."
