Krishna Bhatt's directorial, 1920 Horrors Of The Heart, starring Avika Gor, Barkha Bisht, Rahul Dev, and others, hit cinemas this Friday. On the previous Friday, we had Adipurush getting a wide release on about 4000 screens in the Hindi market. However, the film did not perform well, and hence distributors are likely to replace many screens with the new 1920 movie this week.
When asked about the box office scenario of 1920 and Adipurush, director Krishna Bhatt replied, "Adipurush wasn't well received. To the best of my knowledge, it did not translate to what they were wanting to. At the same time, we might be a smaller film, but we might offer something people are looking for right now."
"I don't want them to fail and me to succeed. I don't think it is necessary. Gadar and Lagaan were released together on the same day, and they became the biggest hits of the year. So, yes, there's a fight for screens when you have two big films, but it's mostly on the same day, not two different weeks. I hope 1920 survives," Krishna Bhatt concluded her point.
