Rajkumar Santoshi is up with his next directorial titled, Bad Boy. The film stars Namashi Chakraborty and Amrin, who are making their big-screen debuts. The film is slated to release on April 28, 2023, but before that, the director has something to say to us about the casting process.

Rajkumar Santoshi has worked with superstars like Sunny Deol, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, and many more already, but with his recent films he is working with new faces. What's his thought process behind it? He answered, "It's not like that. Things don't work like that. In my films, the story and content decides the stars. I can't imagine a superstar in any dark role that wouldn't suit him. If I put Tiger Shroff as Gandhi in my film, will it look good? Yes, he's handsome but his personality suits that kind of role."He continued, "With Bad Boy, I wanted young people. I had seen pictures of Amrin, then we met and discussed the project as per her father's (Sajid Qureshi). instructions. She didn't have any arrogance of being a daughter of the producer. It wouldn't have worked that way. With Namashi, I knew his father and his stardom, but I wanted a dedicated boy. Namashi was a perfect fit. That's how the casting of my films is done.
