EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW : "Frankly, The Media Has Been Very Generous To Me," - Pooja Bhatt

Pooja Bhatt is making a comeback on the big screen with R. Balki's Chup. Apart from her, the romantic psychological thriller has an acting unit of Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, and Shreya Dhanwanthary to raise the level of excitement. The trailer has left the audience excited already. Here's something more that Pooja Bhatt has to say.There is a dialogue in the trailer, "You critics are Killers!" Did Pooja Bhatt's character actually mean it? She told us, "We say na, as in you look like a killer. So it's kind of a compliment. Don't take everything negatively. I was just kidding. Frankly, I think the media and people have been very generous to me. If I have any issues or growing pains, because we grew up in the business world. Nowadays, it's not the same as before, like we had magazines that used to come out monthly. There was no breaking news on a daily basis.""My fight was never about what you said about me or about my work. My fight is to be if you agree with me privately while we are talking, then why is your headline different?," She recalled one of the past incidents."Why did you say Wild Pooja Bhatt? What is wild about me? My fight was about why you reported something without checking with me? I am available to you. Sometimes they write a quote with attributes, trimmed and what not. It is not about being good or bad, it is about what I said. I remember, the Hindi press had given growing reviews to Sadak, but the English media, some of it, had to say what's that violence, what is this Maharani character, it's so down market. And then Sadak was chosen for the National Panorama," shared Pooja Bhatt.Opening up about how she came on board, Pooja Bhatt said, "I admire R. Balki's work. I spoke to him during COVID on Zoom. He told me the title, Chup, and I liked it. When I asked about the cast, he said it has Sunny Deol, I said Wow. He said, it has Dulquer Salmaan, I said Wow. Then he said, we have Shreya Dhanwanthary, I said it is an interesting group of actors. And when I asked about the script, he didn't tell me one line, but he mailed me the script. Without signing the dotted line. People don't usually do that. I loved it and said Yes to Chup."R Balki's Chup has Pooja Bhatt with Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol and Shreya Dhanwanthary in the main roles.
