The film is based on the life of the legendary Indian woman cricketer and former captain of the team, Mithali Raj. During a recent media interaction, Taapsee got candid about the film and her role.publive-imageWhen asked how much Mithali Raj helped her for the training, Taapsee Pannu revealed, "Mithali was not available because she was an active player then. It was COVID time, so active players were either in a bubble (before the tournament) or playing on the field. She was playing in the World Cup and meeting her was not allowed inside the bubble. One of Mithali's best friends, Nushin, who has also played for India, trained me for the role of Mithali Raj."publive-imageRecalling her childhood memories of Indian cricket and cricketers, Taapsee shared, "I have seen and loved many players at that time. From Jonty Rhodes to Sourav Ganguly, I have seen them all play. I knew all the players by names, even if they belonged to other teams. I had a big crush on Rahul Dravid.
