After the success of Khuda Haafiz Chapter 1, Vidyut Jammwal and director Faruk Kabir are coming back together with Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2: Agnipariksha. The first film was released on OTT due to lockdown restrictions, but now the team is excited to release Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 in theatres on July 8, 2022. During the recent media interaction with us, director Faruk Kabir spoke about many details.Recently, there has been a trend that when the sequel is about to hit the screens, the makers re-release the first film. Talking about why the makers didn't release Khuda Haafiz Chapter 1 in cinemas before Chapter 2, Faruk Kabir revealed, "It might have been done but the trimming platforms are different for both the films. For Khuda Haafiz Chapter 1, it was Disney+ Hotstar, and now for Chapter 2, it's Zee. But I have taken care of that when you start watching Chapter 2, you don't have to watch Chapter 1. In the first two minutes, you'll understand what has happened in Chapter 1."Sharing a light on the Agnipariksha word in the title, Mr. Kabir said, "When I started writing the script, the first word I wrote was Agni Pariksha. It's Agnipariksha for both Sameer and Nargis. It's about how society looks at them after coming back and even stronger when their daughter is kidnapped. They have to give agnipariksha as a couple, as parents, and as individuals too."Faruk Kabir has stated numerous times that the Ramayana inspired Khuda Haafiz Chapter 1. But the sequel seems different. Revealing the reason behind it, he shared, "I belong to the generation who used to watch Ramayana every Sunday on television. The Ramayana has always been a big story for me and always had a big impact on my life. When I began writing Khuda Haafiz chapter 1, I realised that the overall essence is only metaphorically related to the Ramayana. Rama went to Lanka to get Sita back and the same way my hero Sameer goes to foreign soil to get Nargis back. Chapter 2 is not inspired by Ramayana, but I have given a tribute to Ramayana with this film."Vidyut Jammwal has created an image of an action star amongst the audience. But in both the films of the Khuda Haafiz series, he plays a common man and fights like a common man. How difficult was it to control Vidyut's out and out action star image? Director Faruk Kabir answered, "I believe a common man should look real in the film. Action should look real, and that's why we have not used VFX in any action sequences in the film. Even the locations are real. There is no fake and cowardly action. You'll see a fight sequence in jail, and you'll like it very much. It's about a 9 and a half minute long action sequence, and I think it will become an iconic action scene for upcoming films."Vidyut and Faruk share a good bond together. When asked about the friendship and professional equations with Vidyut, Faruk replied, "It was our destiny that we came together. Our thinking and views matched. I am very focused on my work, and Vidyut is also very dedicated to his work. It helped me as a director because dedication came naturally from him."
