Nagraj Manjule has directed two Marathi films, and both have emerged as critical and commercial successes. Fandry was a box office hit without any big names, and Sairat created a history that remains unbroken to this day. Manjule had announced a trilogy on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with Riteish Deshmukh, and here's a small update on it.
Speaking about the Shivaji Trilogy, Nagraj Manjule told Movie Talkies that the work is still on. The project hasn't gone on floors and might take time. In the meantime, the filmmaker will take forward his third directorial effort, "Khashaba."
Nagraj Manjule confirmed that Khashaba will be his third project as a director. The film is based on the life of Khashaba Jadhav, the first athlete from independent India to win an individual medal in the Olympics. Nagraj will also appear in the sequel to his 2018 blockbuster "Naal," which will be releasing soon.
