Waluscha De Sousa debuted in Bollywood with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Fan" (2016). The film saw Shah Rukh Khan in a double role: a superstar and a fan. Waluscha was paired with SRK's superstar character, which was supposed to be Gauri Khan's role. In a recent interaction with Movie Talkies, Waluscha opened up about the role.
When asked about how fascinating it was to play the role of Gauri Khan, i.e., SRK's wife, the Fan actress shared, "I think it was very fascinating, but I think till date I haven't understood the magnitude of what I was doing, because it's so larger than life that you can't fathom, you can't relate. To date, I don't realise the gravity of what I was getting into. So maybe if I did it today, I would be a lot more nervous. At that time, I just accepted it for whatever it was. When I look back today, I realise, yeah, I actually did that. It seemed like a dream there".
Waluscha De Sousa also revealed how it was to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in her debut film. "It was the most amazing thing to be able to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, I mean, he is so charismatic. So eloquent, very charming, humble, and down to earth at the same time, and mostly, he is very hardworking. He is a complete family man, he couldn't stop talking about his kids when we were shooting. I think it's very endearing to see a megastar work so really hard and get into the skin of the character when a lot of things are going on," she told Movie Talkies. Watch full video below:
