Fighter has completed three weeks at the box office, and the numbers are not even half what the trade had expected before the release. With a production budget of 300 crore, Fighter was expected to become a blockbuster, but unfortunately, it has turned out to be an average affair, and even that needs to be justified in the coming days.
Fighter collected over 13.50 crore nett in the third week. These numbers are decent considering the low figures the film minted in the first two weeks. The domestic total of Fighter is close to the 188 crore nett mark, and the film will add a few more bucks in the coming days and close its run somewhere close to the 200 crore nett mark.A couple of months ago, this was supposed to be the extended weekend figure for the film, or in the worst case, the first week total. Fighter will have to show some fight from here on to get the "Average" verdict at the domestic box office, while the overseas verdict of the film is far better (HIT). Not to forget, this Average verdict is coming after a lot of fake hype.Below are the collections of Fighter:
First Week - 135.48 crore
Second Week - 38.37 crore
Third Week - 13.80 crore approx.
Total - 187.55 crore nett approx
