From Masoode Wali Smile To Boycott Bollywood, Here Are 5 Social Media Trolls From Akshay Kumar's Sefiee —

Akshay Kumar, Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty's Selfiee released in cinemas today. As I got to see the film yesterday in a media screening, here's my take on social media trolls that Raj Mehta brought up in Selfiee.

Masoode Wali Smile:

Superstar Vijay Kumar's (Akshay Kumar) wife (played by Diana Penty) says that he has a "Masoode Wali Smile." Well, that's one of the major social media trolls on Akshay, as I am aware since I have been using Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram non-stop since 2010. Kudos to Akki for taking it open-heartedly because not every actor has the guts to do so.Black Magic:

In Selfiee, Abhimanyu Singh's character is jealous of Vijay Kumar over his superstardom. So, he sets up a conspiracy to pull Vijay down and also tries black magic with Kusha Kapila's character. As I can see fans tweeting, they have been saying that somebody has done black magic on their star, Akshay Kumar (you know why).Producer's Actor:

As we know, Akshay Kumar is known as a producer's actor. He comes in on time, finishes films on time, and never lets producers lose time on delays. Selfiee shows him as himself—more as a producer's actor than as a superstar.Saal Main 4 Pictures:

Akshay is probably the only actor who has managed to give 4 or more films in a calendar year multiple times. You have seen Akshay saying it in the Selfiee trailer, "Mujhe saal mein 4 films karni padti, 28 Ads, and ek aadha reality show." But the way it comes across in the film will leave you in splits, especially because Akshay Kumar is saying it. He also has an "I am a family man" quote—again, a known fact on social media.Not Having a Driving Licence:

Now, this is an indirect troll, but one can't call it a confirmed one. We know that Akshay Kumar is often trolled for not having an Indian passport, so in Selfiee, it is Driving Licence. Not having one of the most important documents about the thing you love the most—that's the gist of the story here. But we can't say it is because it is a remake of Driving Licence (2019), which is not a Bollywood film.Boycott Bollywood:

Akashdeep Sabir plays the role of a movie producer in Selfiee and he is worried about the negativity surrounding his upcoming film. Hashtags like #BoycottVijayKumar and #BoycottBollywood make him restless, and in anger, he bursts, "Aur 2-4 hashtags ghused de. Ek to waisi hi hamari films nahi chal rahi". 😄 Well, that's the real story of 99% of Bollywood movies since the pandemic. Raj Mehta has also taken the liberty to take a dig at a news anchor who keeps shouting and media channel debates, but let's not discuss them because we see that stuff in almost 20% of films every year.
