Gadar 2 Heading Towards Pathaan's Lifetime Numbers; Becomes 4th Most-Watched Film Of Multiplex Era —

Gadar 2 box office update: Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 is a GADARIOUS blockbuster in India. The film faced a direct clash with Akshay OMG 2, a competition from DreamGirl 2 in the third week, and then Jawan this weekend, yet the film stopped for nothing.

Gadar 2 has crossed the 505 crore nett mark in India despite the clash and is now heading to catch Pathaan's lifetime numbers (512 crore nett) in Hindi markets. It's a huge achievement for Gadar 2 because the film is doing all this in a clash with so much competition, while Pathaan had a wide release on 5000 screens and literally no big clash for 3 weeks.Gadar 2 would have smashed Pathaan's total if there were no clashes, but that couldn't be an excuse since we all know there are only 52 Fridays in a year and almost three times the number of releases. It is bound to happen with some films.

The blockbuster sequel to Gadar has already crossed Pathaan in footfalls (number of tickets sold) by a good margin of 35 lacs, approx.
