This is the second biggest opening weekend of the year in Hollywood after Dune 2 ($81.5 million).The film is roaring internationally, grossing $114 million over the weekend. With a cumulative weekend gross of around $194 million, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire now holds the crown of the number 1 opening at the worldwide box office in 2024.
