Sanjay Tiwari Accuses Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala of Plagiarism

Raaj Shandilyaa's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has landed in a legal soup as producer Sanjay Tiwari has accused the director of plagiarizing Gulbanu Khan's work.

The trailer for Raaj Shandilyaa's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video was launched recently, and the story sees a newly married couple making a sex video from their first night. However, the CD for the same goes missing, leading to panicking situations. Now, a film producer has accused Raaj of plagiarism.

Producer Sanjay Tiwari claimed that the story of Raaj Shaadilyaa's comedy drama, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, has been copied from Gulbanu Khan's 2015 film "Sex Hai Toh Life Hai?" As per the notice, the basic idea is taken by Shandilyaa without their consent. It was registered with SWA by Gulbanu Khan in 2015 and was set to begin production.

The notice has been served to Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited (T-Series), Balaji Motion Pictures Limited, Wakaoo Films LLP, Kathavachak Films Private Limited, and AA Films Private Limited with the subject "Cease and desist notice for infringement of storyline authored and owned by Mrs. Gulbanu Khan and Mr. Sanjay Tiwari."

Speaking about the same, Khan told Times Now, "I had plans to start this film in 2017-2018. The title Sex Hai Toh Life Hai...? was registered by me with WIFPA in 2018 and we were working on the script. But because of some personal issues, it was delayed, and then the pandemic started. It's shocking that someone could misappropriate our ideas. The central idea of any film is very important. It's like a foundation stone, without which the story and then film cannot be even thought of. Bala and Ujada Chaman is another example where the central idea is the same."
