Hansal Mehta on All We Imagine As Light:
Recently, the Indian movie All We Imagine As Light recently made headlines for winning the prestigious Grand Prix at Cannes Film Festival 2024. It was the first Indian film to compete in the main competition since 1994 and won the Grand Prix to become a global sensation. After that, the film was set to be released in Indian cinemas on November 22, 2024. However, a recent revelation by Bollywood filmmaker Hansal Mehta has a different story to tell.
A Twitter handle of a New York website shared a review of the film and called it one of the year's great movies. Mehta, who is quite active on Twitter/X, quote-tweeted the same and revealed that no OTT platform is buying the film, expressing his grief on this matter.
And from what I hear a film that no OTT platform is buying. The harsh reality of making independent films in India. This is no country for the spectacular All We Imagine As Light. HOPE I’M PROVED WRONG. https://t.co/nCN8wVppVw
